Drama and debate have had a great season so far. They recently participated in the regionals competition for drama in Wayne, UT. James and Aron dominated the stage with a scene from Shakespeare’s Hamlet. Carrington and Jason wowed the crowd with their unique pantomime. Lauren spoke her heart through a letter in a monologue. Halle took the hearts of the crowd by singing “Defying Gravity” from the play Wicked. Finally, James and Brooke fancied up the stage by singing the stunning duet, “Sue Me.” Everyone did a great job, and each act was fantastic. The best part about the event was that every contestant made it to state!

Journalism
has been so busy this season. Beth, the English teacher on the girls’ campus
and the head journalism staff, has been so influential on the journalism girls.
From pictures to newspaper articles to the blog and the upcoming possibility of
a yearbook, the club is definitely an exciting handful. They have been
interviewing students, staff, and club members constantly to gather information
to satisfy their readers. Last month, their hard work was rewarded with a
benefit to Café Rio, Iceberg, and the Dixie red rocks. Writing articles for the
newspaper and the blog, and designing the new newspaper, the girls in Journalism
Club are having a blast. When they’re not interviewing, they can be found in
Beth’s English classroom on the girls’ campus, writing away.

Get Pumped!
These boys are lean, mean, weight lifting machines! Rhett, Nick, Bailey, and Marcos all agree that they have seen recent results through being committed to lifting weights everyday. They’re happy that their hard work is showing off. These boys notice the improvement in their muscle endurance, toning, and extra energy. Most of them have said that they’re all working for that “beach bod”, so upper body like arms traps, pecks and working on that six pack! These boys have all seen dramatic results. By being spotters for whoever is lifting, they are pushing each other to the maximum so they can see good results. The Weight Lifting boys are getting the chance to make new friendships in the process of getting fit.
