When I walked through the gym door, I saw girls on the floor in pursuit of the ball. 57-28 was the final score. The Lady ‘Backs never looked back while making a variety of shots: Lay-ups, jump shots, and even a few three-pointers. The Lady Rebels did a fantastic job on defense! The previous time these two teams met, the Lady Rebels led almost the entire game. But, this time, the Lady ‘Backs prevailed and left the gym with smiles and great attitudes.

I walked into Art Club’s peaceful atmosphere to find the students working on their murals. Their murals are representations of themselves: Their character and who they are. The boys have been working on them for a couple of weeks now. These boys seemed very passionate about what they were doing.

We were up against the Lady Utes. Our team of twelve sat down, and the clock read 4:07pm. Our game was supposed to start at 4:00pm, but unfortunately the other team only had four girls. The other team’s coach decided that they would play with only the four. So, four of our girls took the floor in preparation for tip-off. The Lady ‘Backs supported both teams’ efforts by clapping and cheering for both our goals. Our newest member of the team, Ashley was doing fantastic on the court! The Lady Utes did a great job, considering they did not have a single substitute. In the end, the Lady ‘Backs won 46-14. We drove back to the Ranch in high spirits!

In Drama Club today, we watched “Westside Story” and played improvisation games. We were watching “Westside Story” to learn choreography. Every few minutes, Jordan would stop a scene and explain the movement and how it is all planned out.
Afterward, we playing fun little improv games called Settings and Ninety-second Alphabet. In Settings you have to keep your character and change him/her to the environments that are constantly changing.
